Halal Stock Findr

Case study snapshot

The short version before the full project story.

Context

Halal Stock Findr is a free tool I built to help Muslim investors find Shariah-compliant stocks and ETFs. It screens 400+ stocks across US and French markets — no account required.

Key decision

Finding Shariah-compliant investments is unnecessarily difficult. Existing tools are either paywalled, outdated, or limited to a single market. I wanted a simple, free tool that anyone could use to quickly check if a stock aligns with Islamic finance principles.

Role

I worked as Designer & Developer on Halal Stock Findr, shaping product decisions across Multi-platform.

Overview

Halal Stock Findr is a free tool I built to help Muslim investors find Shariah-compliant stocks and ETFs. It screens 400+ stocks across US and French markets — no account required.

Problem

Finding Shariah-compliant investments is unnecessarily difficult. Existing tools are either paywalled, outdated, or limited to a single market. I wanted a simple, free tool that anyone could use to quickly check if a stock aligns with Islamic finance principles.

Solution

A clean, fast screener that lets users search and filter stocks by market, compliance status, and sector. The interface is designed to give clear, instant answers — is this stock halal or not — without requiring financial expertise.

Key Design Decisions

  • No account wall — The tool is free and requires no sign-up, removing friction for casual users
  • Dual market support — US and French markets in one place, serving a broader audience
  • Clear compliance indicators — Binary yes/no compliance status with expandable details for those who want to understand the screening criteria
